Office prayer rooms

In a diverse work environment, employees have varying needs. For many, a moment of prayer, meditation, or quiet reflection during the workday is essential for their well-being and spiritual practice. Our prayer spaces offer a respectful, secluded area where employees can practice their faith undisturbed, regardless of their religious background.

A professional prayer room in the office is more than a facility: it’s a statement of inclusivity. It demonstrates that your organization embraces diversity and respects the personal needs of all employees. From Islamic prayer five times a day to Christian devotion, Jewish prayer moments, or Buddhist meditation: a quiet, private space facilitates these practices without employees having to retreat to unsuitable locations.

Why invest in a prayer space?

Inclusivity

A prayer room communicates respect for religious and cultural diversity. In a job market where inclusivity is increasingly important, your organization stands out as an employer that values and supports all employees.

Legal Considerations

Religious needs fall under the broader framework of equal treatment and non-discrimination. Employers who refuse reasonable accommodations may be legally vulnerable. A prayer room prevents disputes and demonstrates proactive care.

Employee satisfaction

Employees who can continue their religious practices at work experience less stress and higher satisfaction. This translates into better performance, lower absenteeism, and higher loyalty to the organization. A win-win situation.

Productivity Gain

When employees don’t have to search for a suitable place to pray or feel uncomfortable, they can return to work more quickly. A dedicated space eliminates time loss and discomfort.

Multifunctional

A prayer space doesn’t have to be exclusively religious. The same space can be used for meditation and mindfulness, quiet reflection, short breaks, breathing exercises, or personal phone calls.

Employer Branding

Organizations with prayer rooms score higher on diversity and inclusion metrics. This strengthens your reputation as a modern, respectful employer and helps attract diverse talent in the war for talent.

Is a prayer space mandatory?

There is no legal requirement, but facilitating religious needs falls under good employer practices and non-discrimination policies. It demonstrates respect for diversity.

How large should a prayer space be?

For individual prayer, the Cosy S (180 x 140 cm) or HAVN suffices. For multiple users or group prayer, we recommend the Cosy L (240 x 180 cm) or Earth (130 x 250 cm).

Can the space be used for multiple religions?

Absolutely. With a neutral design and flexible facilities, the space is suitable for all faiths: Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, and other traditions.

What is the difference with a lactation room?

The basic structure remains the same, but the layout varies. Prayer rooms lack a kitchen unit or refrigerator but can be equipped with prayer mats, Qibla indicators, and storage for prayer items.

How quickly can a prayer space be installed?

Most models are operational within 1 to 2 hours. The HAVN can even be installed within one hour. No structural modifications are required.

Is the space movable?

Yes, all cabins are modular and demountable, ideal for flexible office environments or when your organization relocates.

What customization options are available?

Consider a Qibla compass or directional indication towards Mecca, prayer rugs, storage space for prayer books or attributes, dimmable lighting, specific colors or fabrics, and washing facilities near the space.
